BlackBerry 9810 Torch
October 24, 2011
The new BlackBerry 9810 Torch looks and feels very much the same as its predecessor - the BlackBerry 9800. Yet once you pop open the hood of the BlackBerry 9810 Torch, you’ll see some modifications that have definitely pimped this phone out.
BlackBerry Torch 9810 operating system and processor
The BlackBerry 9810 Torch features BlackBerry’s new operating system; the OS7. According to RIM, the Liquid Graphics Technology used in the OS adds speed to the phone. However the increased speeds could be due to the 1.2GHz processor which powers the BlackBerry 9810 Torch. Whatever the reason is we don’t really care - the bottom line is that the 9810 switches effortlessly between the homescreen and various apps.
Camera
If the lightning speed of the 9810 didn’t impress you, perhaps the 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with rear LED flash, shooting 720p high-definition videos, might? The new 3.2-inch VGA (640 x 480) display is an improvement from the original’s HVGA panel. It may not sound like much to cheer about, but if you consider the size of the screen it means that you can finally see your photos without them being pixilated!
